Social Isolation and Loneliness Fund 2016 - 17

VAF is pleased to announce that 36 organisations have been successful in gaining grant funding through the Social Isolation and Loneliness Fund.

We were overwhelmed by the response to this Scottish Government grant fund.  Receiving nearly 300 applications with a combined value of almost £5 Million, for a fund worth £500,000.  Our sincere thanks to all organisations who took the time to apply.

On the 11th May 2017, funded organisations came together at Edinburgh City Chambers for a Learning & Networking Event.  Heart & Sound, one of the SIALF projects, produced a short film. It was filmed and edited by the young people accessing their project and can be viewed here.  

The Befriending Network's Loneliness Summit took place on 6th September 2016 in Edinburgh.  Voluntary Action Fund were there, along with a number of the SIALF Funded organsiations.  This short film gives an insight into the summit.
