The Civic Participation Network aims to remove barriers to people with communication support needs who wish to be active citizens. This is done through promotion of key messages in Talk for Scotland: a practical toolkit to service providers; organisers of consultation and decision making activities; and trainers in capacity building. SCOTTISH DISABILITY EQUALITY FORUM (SDEF)
Policy, Information & Parliamentary Function Project
The Scottish Disability Equality Forum (SDEF) is a user-led membership organisation which works across Scotland to remove barriers to the full social inclusion of people affected by disability. SDEF is also the Umbrella Body for Access Panels in Scotland. SDEF works with its members and others to facilitate direct engagement between policy makers and people with disabilities.

BRITISH DEAF ASSOCIATION (BDA)
The British Deaf Association is the largest member-led organisation in the UK that is run by Deaf people for Deaf people. The Scottish Government Equalities Unit have funded the BDA the following projects until March 2012:

  1. To build the capacity of the Deaf community to participate in wider developments - this is to improve links between the Deaf community and the Scottish Government
  2. To set up a support network for Advanced BSL Teachers in Scotland - this is to build the capacity and sustainability for BSL teachers to own and manage the support network for BSL Teachers.

DONALDSON'S SCHOOL
Donaldson's is one of the 7 Grant Aided Schools in Scotland, offering day and residential education, therapy and care to pupils aged 2.5 years to 19 years who are deaf (deaf is used to cover deaf, deafened and hard of hearing), or have communication difficulties. The Transition Project will work with young people who are deaf or have communication difficulties between the ages of 16 and 24 years, who require support to enable them to access Further Education; work experience; employment; and a range of local services in order to ensure they are successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.

INDEPENDENT LIVING IN SCOTLAND (ILiS)
The Independent Living in Scotland (ILiS) began in June 2008 when the Scottish Government announced funding to develop independent living in Scotland. ILiS aims to strengthen the Independent Living Movement and to support disabled people to have their voices heard at national and local level so that decision-makers work with them to deliver independent living for all disabled people. An expert group of disabled people guide the ILiS project, which is hosted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission in Scotland.

Amina - Muslim Women's Helpline is part of the Amina - Muslim Women's Resource Centre and offers a free phone confidential helpline for women wanting information advice or a listening ear in their first language. CHILDREN IN SCOTLAND
Making the gender equality duty real for children, young people and their fathers
Children in Scotland support the involvement of fathers with their children. The project also aims to contribute to wider efforts to reduce gender stereotyping in education, health and children's services and help develop a healthier work/life balance for men and women.

IONA COMMUNITY
The Iona Community is a dispersed Christian ecumenical community working for peace and social justice, rebuilding of community and the renewal of worship. This specific project is to carry out anti-sectarian work in prisons and to target prisoners under the age of 40 in West of Scotland prisons, who have a history or sectarian or race-related attitudes or behaviours. The main intended outcome is to meet the Scottish Prison Service Offender Outcomes relating to sectarian and racist crimes and change negative attitudes and re-offending behaviour.

MINORITY ETHNIC CARERS OF OLDER PEOPLE PROJECT (MECOPP)

Nil by Mouth is Scotland's leading sectarianism awareness charity. We seek to challenge sectarianism wherever it manifests itself in Scottish society and have campaigned for over a decade for greater action to tackle this complex and deep rooted problem.

PATH SCOTLAND
PATH (Scotland) was established in 1998 with charitable objectives to address the under-representation of Black and Minority Ethnic Communities in Housing and related areas. We have supported over 240 people from BME and Refugee Communities to access employment and career progression in their chosen field through the PATH Housing Scheme and have supported many more through PATH's general employability work. The PATH (Scotland) Leadership Programme is funded by the Scottish Government. It enables BME men and women to consider the realities and perceptions of management and leadership today. It examines the impact of power inequalities in society and the implications in employment.

REACH Community Health Project is a national third sector organisation with a key strategic role in improving the health, wellbeing and health care provision of Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in Scotland. REACH has units engaged in culturally sensitive Service Provision, Policy and Research as well as Training and Development. SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD
Show Racism The Red Card is an anti-racist educational charity. They aim to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominately but not exclusively footballers, to present an anti-racist message to young people and others. YOUTH COMMUNITY SUPPORT AGENCY
Youth-Faith Exploration Services
The aim of the project is to develop a service which targets young people aged between 14 -19, referred by partner agencies due to displaying signs of racism, religious intolerance, bigotry and sectarianism. Young people are encouraged to commit to a structured development and activity programme, designed to educate and bring together young people from different racial backgrounds.
