The Voluntary Action Fund each year organises a series of training events and seminars below you'll find a list of the forthcoming events. All events are open to currently funded projects however space is often available for other community and voluntary sector organisations.

All events are free.

VOLUNTEERING - WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?
21 SEPTEMBER 2010
VENUE: The Engine Shed, Edinburgh
Who is it for? VSGS funded organisations who work with young volunteers. What effect does volunteering have on the lives of the young people who participate in your project? Come along and join us for a participatory workshop on how best to demonstrate the difference that volunteering makes to young people. We are keen to involve a couple of young volunteers from your project along with the volunteer co-ordinator (and their line manager, where appropriate).
The workshop is being led by Graeme Reekie of Evaluation Support Scotland.

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE - EVENTS

Following discussions with major stakeholders, it has been decided that the Preparing for the Future conference will instead be facilitated by VAF as two separate events, incorporating:

• Preparation for March 2011 - exit strategies: enabling you and your organisation to withdraw from current funding responsibly.
• Let's Celebrate - looking at lessons learnt, celebrating the difference that the Equalities Grants Programme funding and its funded projects/organisations have made.
